Queens of the fall and winter flowers, Camellias are beautiful evergreen flowering shrubs adored for their exquisite blooms that come in fall, winter and/or spring, when color is needed in the garden. Camellias come in a wide array of bright colors and forms ranging from single to fully double and peony form. Though typically thought of as southern plants, thanks to the hard work of a few professional breeders, we now have a large selection of cold hardy camellia varieties that can be safely grown as far north as USDA Zone 6! We've yet to meet anyone who didn't like the wonderful perfume the flowers emit.
